The Premier League has opened fan voting for its August 2026 awards. Supporters can vote for Player, Manager, Goal and Save of the Month until 12:00 BST on Monday 7 September. Winners are scheduled to be announced on Friday 11 September.
The categories reward different things. Player voting should weigh repeated influence, not one viral moment. Manager voting asks which coach changed results or identity most convincingly. Goal and save voting can be decided by one action, but difficulty, timing and consequence still matter.
The public ballot is only part of the process: the league says fan votes are combined with an expert panel’s selections. That makes this an invitation to debate rather than a pure popularity contest.
PitchNaija’s challenge is simple: choose only one category and defend your pick in a sentence. Which August performance would you show to explain the month?
