Manchester City’s official preview confirms the holders host Norwich City in the EFL Cup on Thursday 17 September, with kickoff at 7:30pm WAT.
City enter after five consecutive wins in all competitions, according to the club. Norwich reached this round by beating MK Dons and Cardiff City.
The useful question is how rotation affects structure. New combinations must still protect the centre, coordinate the press and give the first receiver a safe passing option after possession changes.
Official lineups should be taken only from the clubs close to kickoff. This is a confirmed fixture with PitchNaija analysis, not a predicted team or guaranteed result.
