Gbagada FC beat Beyond Limits FA 3–2 at Remo Stars Stadium on Monday, 2 November, and moved to the top of The Creative Championship table. The competition’s official match centre records Gbagada on 18 points from eight games, one ahead of Imperial and Real Sapphire. Beyond Limits have 12 points from the same number of matches.

The official timeline credits Habeeb Adeniran and Malik Fatai with Gbagada’s opening goals, before Peter Oyeniran scored twice for Beyond Limits. Gome Namene then supplied the decisive goal. The match centre puts that strike in the 68th minute. Sports247 also reports the 3–2 result, although its description of a 90th-minute winner differs from the league’s event log.

There is a longer community story behind the result. In a 2021 Nairametrics interview, founder Olajide Akinyelu said: ‘At Gbagada FC, we dare to dream.’ That historical comment concerns the club’s ambitions, not his reaction to Monday’s game. The present result gives supporters a concrete achievement to discuss alongside that wider identity.

Recovering the advantage after an opponent has levelled is a meaningful part of the scoreline. It does not tell us, on its own, whether the deciding moment came from an organised move, an individual action or an error. Without that detail, the most useful assessment stays with what the result establishes: Gbagada scored again after conceding twice and left Ikenne with three points.

The next challenge is to preserve the habits that survive a difficult spell rather than treat one away win as proof the title race is settled. Eight games leave plenty of scope for the standings to change. Which part of Gbagada’s result matters more to you: their three goals away from home or their response after losing a two-goal lead?
