Edo Queens must still settle their Women’s Champions League qualification contest with Ampem Darkoa after the continuation of the WAFU Zone B final was moved to Egypt. The Ghana Football Association says CAF has identified 28 or 29 October for the resumed contest, but the exact date, venue and kickoff remain to be announced.
The GFA’s account of CAF’s letter makes the starting position important: the teams resume at 2–2 from the beginning of extra time. They are to play two periods of 15 minutes, followed by penalties if still level. This is not a fresh ninety-minute fixture and the earlier shootout does not decide qualification.
‘The exact date, venue and kick-off time will be confirmed to the clubs shortly,’ the GFA statement says. Nigerian supporters should therefore distinguish the proposed two-day window from a fixed appointment. Neither date should be placed on a definitive watchlist with an invented WAT kickoff.
The statement says the arrangement follows the annulment of Edo Queens’ 4–1 penalty-shootout victory after Ampem Darkoa’s protest. Different match officials are to handle the continuation. Guardian Nigeria also reports the switch to Egypt, giving Nigerian readers a local account of the development.
The football consequence is clear even while the logistics remain open: the winner takes the WAFU B place at the CAF Women’s Champions League. Edo Queens are not already through, and the move of venue is not itself a result. Supporters can back the Nigerian club without treating an unresolved tie as a completed qualification.
Once the clubs receive the final arrangements, the next useful guide will be the confirmed time, legitimate viewing route and the rules for deciding the contest. Which is the bigger challenge for Edo Queens: managing the short extra-time contest or preparing for the possibility of another shootout?
