CAF says Victor Osimhen will miss Nigeria’s qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau as he recovers from a muscle problem. The confirmation is about availability for these two matches; it is not a prediction about when he will next play.
Nigeria’s 2–1 win over Madagascar showed that other forwards can make a decisive contribution, with George Ilenikhena and Moses Usor scoring. It does not establish a permanent replacement or a confirmed Tuesday selection.
For the Guinea-Bissau match, the reliable reference points are the official squad update and the official team sheet near kickoff. The fixture begins at 17:00 WAT on Tuesday, 20:00 in Yerevan.
This explainer deliberately avoids transfer speculation, recovery guesses and predicted lineups.
