CAF says Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda are automatically qualified as AFCON PAMOJA 2027 co-hosts. Their groups still matter because one additional team advances from each co-host group.
That is the key to Group L: Tanzania are playing the fixtures, but Nigeria, Guinea-Bissau and Madagascar are competing for the additional qualifying place. The Matchday 1 table has Guinea-Bissau first and Nigeria second on the same three points, separated by goal difference.
Tuesday’s two Group L matches are Madagascar v Tanzania at 14:00 WAT and Guinea-Bissau v Nigeria at 17:00 WAT. In Yerevan those kickoffs are 17:00 and 20:00 respectively.
This is a format explainer, not a points projection. The only safe next conclusion comes after official final scores and the updated CAF table.
