CONFIRMED: The NFF has announced that Nigeria will face Russia in Nizhny Novgorod on 6 October. Before that friendly, the Super Eagles meet Madagascar on 25 September and Guinea-Bissau on 29 September in AFCON qualifying.
The immediate priority is the competitive double-header. The later friendly offers a different setting for assessing the squad; selection plans have not been confirmed.
FAN QUESTION: Should the coaches favour continuity across these games, or use the Russia date to examine depth? That is a PitchNaija discussion, not a claim about the coaching staff’s intentions. A verified kickoff time for the friendly will be added when available.
