Chelsea have announced an agreement for Shakhtar Donetsk to play their 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league-phase home matches at Stamford Bridge. The club’s notice is explicit that the arrangement remains subject to regulatory approvals.
The plan gives Shakhtar a London base after previous European home campaigns in cities including Hamburg and Warsaw. It also brings Champions League fixtures to Stamford Bridge in a season when Chelsea say they did not qualify for European competition.
