The Nigeria Football Federation confirms the Falconets face England in the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Round of 16 after Nigeria defeated New Caledonia 10–1 and finished second in Group F.
Knockout football changes the test. Nigeria must protect the central lane immediately after losing possession, defend set pieces without cheap fouls and keep decisions clean when the match stretches.
The ten-goal win matters because confidence matters. It does not guarantee the same space or rhythm against England, so the first priority is control before chasing another spectacular scoreline.
The opponent and round are confirmed by the NFF. PitchNaija will not publish an exact kickoff until it is independently visible in the official match centre.
