UEFA confirms that the 2026/27 Champions League league phase begins on Tuesday 8 September. The early games are AEK Athens–LASK and Club Brugge–Aston Villa at 5:45pm WAT. Four more fixtures follow at 8:00pm WAT: Borussia Dortmund–Villarreal, Porto–Manchester City, Lille–Real Betis and Real Madrid–Inter.
The board gives Nigerian fans one clean decision: choose an early fixture, then one late match rather than chasing six screens. Club Brugge–Aston Villa offers an immediate Premier League connection; Porto–Manchester City and Real Madrid–Inter headline the late window.
There are no Champions League matches on Monday 7 September. The competition starts Tuesday, so any Monday post describing live Champions League games would be incorrect. Save this guide and recheck UEFA's fixture page before kickoff for changes.
