Rasheedat Ajibade’s Nigeria have an Olympic qualifying appointment on Friday before the Sand Eagles bring another Nigeria–Ghana contest to Kaduna on Saturday. For supporters planning their weekend, the useful starting point is the clock: these are different competitions, with different venues and separate qualification paths.

Comoros face Nigeria at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Friday, 9 October. Kick-off is 18:00 WAT, or 21:00 in Yerevan. Comoros are the designated home side for this first leg, even though the match takes place in Nigeria. The return leg is also scheduled for Ikenne, on 13 October.

Saturday’s beach soccer fixture starts earlier. Nigeria’s Sand Eagles host Ghana at the Murtala Muhammed Square Beach Soccer Pitch in Kaduna on 10 October. In its official fixture announcement, the Nigeria Football Federation states: “The match kicks off at 4pm.” That is 16:00 WAT and 19:00 in Yerevan. It is the first leg of their Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tie.

Domestic football also deserves space in the diary. The NPFL’s dated match-officials and broadcast announcement lists Katsina United against Enyimba on Friday at 17:00 WAT, or 20:00 in Yerevan, live on the NPFL YouTube channel. This newer announcement gives a later time than the league’s older fixture listing. Saturday’s Ikorodu City–Kwara United and Ranchers Bees–Niger Tornadoes games are listed for 16:00 WAT, or 19:00 in Yerevan, on MBI YouTube.

A competition’s usual television partner does not establish that a particular match is on a particular DStv or GOtv channel. No unconfirmed channel is promised here.
