The Nigeria Football Federation says a two-day workshop presenting Nigeria’s Amateur Football Environment Report has ended in Abuja. FIFA experts Amr Moheb and Etienne Sockeng led the analysis, using examples from other member associations and practical group exercises.
The confirmed emphasis was the amateur level: the part of the game below the professional leagues where coaching access, regular competition, facilities and player pathways often determine who is seen and who is lost. NFF Technical Director Augustine Eguavoen presented Nigeria’s current situation during the workshop.
The NFF article did not publish a detailed implementation plan, budget or timetable. Those are now the useful accountability questions: which recommendations will be adopted, who owns delivery and when will local players and coaches see the change? Fans can choose a first priority—pitches, coaching or competitions—without pretending the workshop itself has already solved the problem.
